Given the means to satisfy their urge for activities, little children are apt to learn more by doing than through class-room verbal drills, their activities should be spontaneous and free, which makes them think for themselves. The teacher, though within their call to help them when required, is not to make them obey like dumb driven cattle, the teacher and the taught of different ages should develop mutual relationship that leads to collaboration and co-operation. If the children are kept busy, and quite engrossed in their own kind of activity there is no room for noise or diversions, as they themselves would not like to be disturbed or interfered with. Discipline thus comes from within, which is more perfect and lasting.
